Louis Vuitton is one of the most counterfeited brands in the fashion world due to its image as a status symbol. Only a small fraction of products bearing the LV initials in the general population are authentic. Ironically, the signature Monogram Canvas was created to prevent counterfeiting. In 2004, Louis Vuitton fakes accounted for 18% of counterfeit accessories seized in the European Union.

.... Personally I think Louis Vuitton handbags are way too expensive, they are good quality but you are paying a lot of money just for a fashion fad. Fake Louis Vuitton's however are often not very good quality at all. Better just to buy a good sturdy handbag that does the job it was intended for - keeping junk in !
